The city that never sleeps in beds.
So true.
This blog is great, and you should follow it. It simultaneously makes me miss New York and quells my something-like-homesickness for it by bringing the best part of it to me.

Does anyone in the New York area fancy a near-immediate road trip to Chicago?
Something family-related came up and I need to get there pronto. CS and CL rideshare listings are barren of NYC > Chicago for once. If any car-having person is game to hit the road, like, tonight/earrrrly tomorrow, I know we can get other ridesharers (potentially a couple of my personal friends, even, but at least decent CSers or something). For what it’s worth, you will also earn my undying love.
Every time I see a photo of Wellington, I want to be there already.
But it’s not time yet! Four more months of NYC goodness.
I really just need multiple copies of myself. There are so many places I need to be in all at once.
The result of last night's King's Cup
Guys, if you would be so kind as to like this and bewilder the shit out of my friend when she sees people neither of us know liking our brand new kinda-fake-but-almost-not-but-probably-fake band, I would be much obliged.
Last night, we played King’s Cup in a temporarily abandoned Midtown apartment. Upon drawing my second king, I instituted my favorite rule I’ve ever invented for this game, where whenever you have to drink because of another rule, you also have to sing one verse of a Disney song in your best Tom Waits voice. After this friend and I duetted on that grotto song from The Little Mermaid, she ran over and hugged me and cried “Don’t move to New Zealand!” And then we formed a band, as you do.
P.S. I didn’t name it.
P.P.S. Signal boosts would also earn my appreciation/undying love.

Some friends and I had a soiree in a Midtown apartment last night, across the street from this office building (pictured here from this morning, like two minutes ago). It’s not the best view ever, but it’s kind of cool in that it’s like having a giant ant farm.
